Group rides are open bookings with up to 10 riders. Private rides are for your own group only.
You can customize or make changes to your ride. We’ll happily do what we can to accommodate you if we know in advance.
Please read our policies/terms of service. By reserving a riding tour you are agreeing to all policies and terms.
A Waiver of Liability is required by all riders. Sign at the ranch or download here. Riders under age 18 must have a parent or legal guardian signature before riding.

Mt Hood Mt Adams Horse Rides

All rides are led by experienced guides and are suitable for all ages and riding abilities, unless otherwise noted. All rides are a minimum of 90-minutes. Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes - We have boots and helmets or hats at the ranch you can borrow! Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, a camera, and a hat!

If you have seen the blockbuster movie "Wild," you will undoubtedly recall Cheryl Strayed's journey along the Pacific Crest Trail to the stunning Dry Creek Falls in Cascade Locks, Oregon. You too can have your very own "Wild" adventure by visiting these same falls on horseback! Our US Forest Service Special Use Permit allows you to enjoy this very exclusive ride. Bring a sack lunch and enjoy a picnic at the foot of the falls. Includes crossing the falls on horseback.

View the glory of the sky’s ever changing color mirrored on the snowy tops of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Engage all of your senses as shadows grow long. This ride takes the same route as the Hood River Fruit Loop ride or on hot evenings the Above the Colombia River Gorge ride. We’ll tell you the day’s location on your reservation. Bring your Apres-ride refreshments, hang out and watch the stars pop up.

The Hood River Valley is reknowned for it's diverse family owned cherry, peach, pear and apple orchards, as well as it's burgeoning wine grape growing farms. The Fruit Loop Tour is a taste of the Hood River countryside.  Meander horseback alongside luscious ripening berries, cherry and pear orchards, into the dappled shade of giant Spruce trees, then time permitting, down to the banks along the rushing Hood River. Annual highlights: April - Blossoms, blossoms, beautiful blossoms! July - Cherries. September - Pear Harvest. October - Apple Harvest. Year round - Gorgeous!

This is an all-out walk, trot and canter ride suitable for those who have strong horseback riding experience. This ride covers a lot of ground at a quick pace on a willing horse. The Wrangler will set the pace and choose the trails to customize this ride to the participants. This ride can be combined with other rides and extended in time. Not for the timid or young children.

This high elevation wilderness ride starts at a staging area just off Hwy 35, 10 miles south of Hood River, Oregon. You’ll ride through magnificent conifers, sprinkled with wildflowers and wildlife sightings are common. Due to weather, we can’t guarantee all views. We always see  ‘Mount Oughta-be’ a locally well-known view.

This horseback riding tour stages in a private meadow on the far west side of the Hood River Valley. Starting below the forest, our trail gently climbs steadily upward. We’ll enter the deep shade of mature trees, moving along fern grottos and cascading streams, to views high above the Columbia River Gorge. Weather permitting we’ll ride the TeePee trail, a now private forest trail once traveled by Native American pioneers. Stunning photo opps at Mitchell Point Overlook from up high!
