Bint V Allah, or just "Bint" for short, is an Arabian horse, a breed that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses in the Middle East that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years.

Risa is a Paso Fino, a naturally gaited light horse breed dating back to horses imported to the Caribbean from Spain. Pasos are prized for their smooth, natural, four-beat, lateral ambling gait. They are used in many disciplines, but are especially popular for trail riding. Risa is exceptionally smooth and gentle, a favorite among our youngest riders.

Trapper is a Bay Morgan, one of the earliest horse breeds developed in the United States. The Morgan is a compact, refined breed, generally Bay, Black or Chestnut in color, although they come in many colors, including several variations of Pinto. Used in both English and Western disciplines, the breed is known for its versatility. Trapper loves to follow his girlfriend, Ibby.

Stormy is a dappled white Arabian horse, a breed that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses in the Middle East that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years. Stormy is a very energetic girl who enjoys a good lope. However, she does not enjoy crossing water.

Hoo Doo is a Tennessee Walking Horse, or a Tennessee Walker, a breed first developed in the late 18th Century when horses from the Eastern United States were crossed with Spanish Mustangs from Texas. They are known for their distinctive gait and calm disposition. Hoo Doo is very gentle, and prefers to follow other horses rather than being in the lead.

Key, our "Blue-Eyed Beauty" is a retired show horse. He is a Paint American Quarter Horse, a breed that excels at sprinting short distances. Its name came from its ability to outdistance other horse breeds in races of a quarter mile or less. Key is gentle, yet very energetic and enjoys a good lope now and again.

Tasha is an American Quarter Horse, like Key. She is spunky and sometimes stubborn and loves to be groomed.

Kalhe (pronounced "Kallie") is a Bay Thoroughbred, a breed best known for their agility, speed, and spirit, and commonly used in horse racing. Kalhe enjoys either English or Western style and true to her breed, loves to run!

 

 


Cowboy is a Paint American Quarter Horse, a breed that excels at sprinting short distances. The breed's name came from its ability to outdistance other breeds in races of a quarter mile or less. Cowboy uses what is called a "Hackamore" bridle, a type of headgear that does not use a bit inside his mouth. Instead, it has a special type of noseband that works on pressure points on his face, nose, and chin. Although sometimes stubborn, Cowboy is fun to ride and enjoys being groomed.

Apache or "Patches" as we sometimes call him, is a 100 year Foundation Appaloosa Horse Register (FAHR) horse. The Appaloosa is an American horse breed best known for its spotted coat pattern.

Harley is a Bay American Quarter Horse. He enjoys either leading the pack or wrangling by bringing up the rear.

Tribe is a Chestnut Thoroughbred, a breed best known for its agility, speed, and spirit, and commonly used in horse racing. Tribe is gentle and loyal, and loves to feel the wind in her mane when she runs.

Renegade is a Bay Mustang, rescued from Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land. She is exceptionally calm and gentle and our youngest riders ask for her again and again.
 
Solomon is a Palomino Missouri Foxtrotter, an American breed originating from the state of Missouri. Developed by settlers in the early 1800's, the breed is known for its stamina and smooth gait. It performs an ambling gait known as the "fox trot", a four-beat broken diagonal gait in which the front foot of the diagonal pair lands before the hind, eliminating the moment of suspension and increasing smoothness.

Zsa Zsa is a magnificent Hungarian Warmblood, a breed developed for dressage and show jumping through selective crossing of Hungarian breeds to emphasize the qualities of beauty, elegance, exceptional intelligence, and gentle disposition. This long-legged beauty loves to run and enjoys long treks.
